Reserves Coach Report - Rd13 v East Perth
This week provided us with a big challenge by playing the top of the ladder East Perth. Again we had to make a number of changes due to injury.
With the inexperienced side we had in all they wanted to do was to play as a team and looked forward to the challenge of playing the top side.
Our starts for most of the season have been poor but the last two week the team has gotten off to really good starts. Our pressure on the opposition and ball use was good; going into half time we had a 7 goal lead but had some injury concerns.
After half time we struggled to get a score on the board but we also made it hard for East Perth. The intensity and the will to play as a team just showed if we play this way we can compete with any side, and it gives us confidence for the rest of the year.
Our major goal scores for the day. Clint Bradshaw 3, Ryan Sheehan 2, Jordan Adamson-Holmes 2, Shea Mathanda 2.
While I was happy with every ones performance our better players were Tim Viney, Ryan Sheehan, Martin Smith and Ryan Smith.
Thanks again for your support and hope to see you all when we take on Perth this weekend.
