Ex Subiaco players, Clinton Rudd and Julian Jacobs, now with Boulder City FC in the Goldfields were rewarded for their efforts at the 2010 Landmark Carnival with selection in the Country Allstars Team. After Goldfields' loss to Lower South West FL on Thursday they regrouped to win the their clash with Avon on Friday. Rudd and Jacobs were standouts in both games. Also selcted in the Allstars team was Julian Jacob's bother Aubrey, who also had a stint at Subiaco and now plays with Wyalkatchem. Congratualtions to all of trhe boys on an outstranding carnival. We also congratulate Julian and Clinton on their selection as part of WA's best 25 country football players from across the state who will depart for Canberra next week to compete in the Landmark Australian Country Football Championships. The WA team has quite a bit of experience with ex-WAFL players in the squad and expectations are high. Thanks to a new format, the WA team will have the chance to play each of the six teams from NSW, SA, ACT, QLD, Victoria Major and Victoria Districts. All teams will play six games over the first two days (Thursday 22nd July and Fri 23rd July) with each game consisting of two, 17 and a half minute halves - making for some fast and frantic football. Subiaco Fc wishes Julian & Clinton the best of luck at the carnival.
