Rd 22 v East Perth - League Coach's Report

Unfortunately the loss on the weekend has made it almost impossible to play finals this year which is disappointing. We still have a big game for the club this weekend which we will treat with importance as we would like to finish on a good note after what’s been a very trying year for all at the club. Blake Broadhurst again performed very well up forward but again was the only mainstay for us infront of goal which is the big area for concern and the main area for recruiting off season. Marc Webb, Des Headland, Shaun Hildebrandt and Kyal Horsley all put in  the midfield while Michael Rix worked hard all day in the ruck. Ben Randall again stood tall in defence while Adam Cockie was quite good in his first game back for over two months. We were woeful infront of goals and paid the price,we had more of the ball, more inside 50’s and more shots on goal but the scoreboard wasn’t in our favour which is where it ultimately counts in the end. What we can take out of it is the fact that the player group know where we are at and expect better from themselves after a promising start and will always have a good crack right to the end. That is important moving forward into the last game and beyond looking to next year. We would like to see all our supporters at Fremantle oval to help get the boys over the line this week in what will probably be our last game for the season.
