Peter Farmer visits the North Balga

Well known and respected local Noongar artist Peter Farmer attended North Balga Primary School last Thursday as a part of the Learn Today… Lead Tomorrow program for indigenous students in the Subiaco District being run by the District staff in conjunction with Des Headland.
Peter took time out of his busy schedule during CHOGM where he had some of his work being displayed along with artists from other CHOGM nations to come and do two painting with the students that were based on local animals and stories. Principal Ros Kay was very impressed with the work that the students had done and how the students had worked together to create the two paintings. She said that these pieces would be hung in the schools’ administration area for all guests to the school to see.

Forty of the Lions most promising 16 year olds attended a pre-season training camp at Ern Halliday Recreational Facility last week.
Youngsters from clubs across WA, including Esperance and Kalgoorlie, came together to meet their team-mates and form a bond for the upcoming season.

Tenure : 1 Year commencing November 1st.
Honorarium : Possibly reviewed each year
Key Leadership Role: “Support the Competition Director in the Management of District Junior Football competitions”.

Assume all roles of the Competition Director in absence of Competition Director.

Coordinate special JCC projects.

Other duties as directed by Competition Director.

Attend DFDC meetings.

Attend Management meetings as called by Competition Director.

Attend League functions eg Grand Final Days, Presentation Night, Vote Count Night, Registrar’s Nights, Forums etc.

Protect and promote the fun, safe and fair environments for all participants.
