Reserves Coaches Report Round 16 vs Peel Thunder

A trip to Mandurah to confront Peel after a disappointing loss to West Perth the previous week, was a challenge we were looking forward to.  Our main focus was good communication and protection of the ball carrier. This was achieved and led to our first four quarter effort for 2008.

Win an even contribution we controlled the game from the outset and were able to achieve our highest score of the year.  With 80 marks and 300 disposals we had plenty of the footy. Efficiency of the ball was another pleasing aspect of the game.

This was a confidence building game for some senior players and also some young players.  This confidence will help with our charge towards a finals spot.

We must continue winning games to have some finals action, which starts with East Perth this week. East Perth are equal on points with us on the ladder, and this will be a must-win game.

I hope we get good support from our loyal supporters.

See ya at the footy.
