Reserves Coaches Report - Round 4 vs Swan Districts

A home game versus the undefeated Swan Districts faced our young players in Round 4 as we looked for improvement from our loss last week against East Fremantle. Despite our 50 point loss to the Swans, we as the coaching staff have no doubt that we took some big steps forward as a playing group.

As our young players are starting to adjust to the tempo of Reserves football, we were able to outscore our opponents during the first and fourth quarters.  Unfortunately during the second and third quarters we struggled to win possession and were totally out-played as the opposition were able to out-score us by 10 goals to 2 during this period.  In this period of the game we contributed to our own demise by poor use of the football and decision making.  This cost us dearly on the score board.

We should be able to add some experienced players to our group over the next few weeks which should help our younger players develop further. This should also hopefully help us record a victory next week over Perth.

We hope that you as supporters are there in good numbers to support us. See you at the footy.
