League Coaches Report - Round 10 vs South Fremantle

Coming of a bye and regaining form and momentum as quickly as possible was the major challenge we faced v SF last weekend. Although the week off has obvious benefits facing SF after their big win v SD the previous week was always going to be a challenge.

The conditions and a SF side well stocked with smalls meant adjustments needed to be made early in the contest and it took the best part of the first qtr for the side to settle. SF pressure early in the game was good and the players absorbed the pressure well and started to move the ball well just before half time.

Balke Broadhurst form v SF was again impeccable and his 7 goal haul was outstanding with his work rate a real highlight. Brad Smith continued his good form with 5 goals against a quality opponent in Robbie Hadrill.

Our midfield was well lead by Shaun Hildebrandt, Mark Haynes, Jason Bristow and Kyle Horsley. Luke Newick also played another solid game it was has been a consistent year so far for him.

Robbie Forrest and Greg Broughton were the pick of the back man. Both are having great seasons and have been part of a very comitted backline zone.

After nine rounds some of the 'team' football has been very pleasing but we have many opportunities to improve and raise the standard of football we are playing .

Our next challenge v Claremont on their home ground will be another good test.
