Subiaco Player Movement December Update

Wednesday, December 12, 2018 - 1:46 PM

While there has been a number of changes to key personnel within the Subiaco Senior program in the past two months, the club has continued to remain active working on their list management ahead of the 2019 season.

Subiaco continues to be a club that provides opportunities to footballers, from all backgrounds, including community football, country football and most importantly progression through our own talent program.

Liam Connolly, Max Dennis, Tom Edwards-Baldwin, Mitch Hughes, Christian Martin and Koby Fullgrabe all stepped up from the colts program in 2017 to play regular senior football in 2018 highlighting Subiaco’s ability to create a highly functioning development program from colts to senior football

On top of this development group, last year Subiaco unearthed a host of key recruits from varying backgrounds that played crucial roles in the club’s three premiership success.

While Josh Deluca and Zac Clarke received wide praise, Drew Rohde had an important impact in the Subiaco league team, Jakob Atkinson, Travis Cleggett, Kaidyn Fullgrabe, Ryan Mu, Sean Bradley and Luke Norriss were all inclusions this time last year that had an impact within the senior program.

This year’s first fortnight has again seen Subiaco welcome a host of new faces to the mix, with a number of these players from country, community and colts backgrounds likely to play a key role for the senior program in 2019.

After winning the Colts premiership in 2018, a number of key players from that premiership winning side are having an early impact with senior pre-season training.

Liam Hickmott, Madoc Plane, Mach Deng, Jack Mayo and Tristan Hobley have been among the standouts during the early stages of pre-season coming out of colts football into the senior program.

On top of this group, younger colts players in Wil Hickmott and Mitch Georgiades have also handled the start of a senior pre-season well.
