Talent Program Hold Successful Jumper Presentation Evening

Thursday, March 21, 2019 - 7:58 AM

The Subiaco Football Club Talent Program last night held their 2019 Jumper Presentation Evening with a packed crowd in the Leederville Sports Bar & Function’s Centre.

Over 250 players and parents were on hand upstairs as the future players of the Subiaco Football Club received acknowledgement ahead of the season.

Both the Colts and Futures squads were recognised on stage with each player individually presented to the room, with a photo opportunity for each player.

As well as getting individual recognition, players were given an insight to a career in football with three past Subiaco Colts greats talking through their individual journeys.

Antoni Grover, Brayden Ainsworth and Greg Clark were the players to present, with Grover and Ainsworth having spring boarded strong Subiaco colts careers to play at AFL level, while Clark has become a regular Subiaco league player, winning both a league and reserves premiership medal over the past two season.

All three players told of the expectations that have been expected of them as they have forged successful football careers and gave positive reinforcement of what can be achieved coming through the Subiaco Talent program.

The event was hosted by former Subiaco player and Channel 9 News presenter Michael Genovese.

Club Talent Director Russell Smith, Talent Manager Kristian Dicton and Colts Coach Chayce Creedy all spoke across the evening, highlighting the importance that the Subiaco Football Club has put in maintaining an outstanding culture through its Talent Program.

As part of the jumper presentations the leadership group of 2019 was announced.

Esperance product and 2018 premiership player Jacob Peletier will captain the colts in 2019 while premiership teammate Ben Golding will be vice-captain.

The five man leadership group is rounded out with Noah Ash, Daniel Frost and Levi Duyckers to support Golding and Peletier.

The Subiaco Football Club thanks all players, parents and guests for attending and help to contribute to a successful club event.
