Vic Metro Claims the 2008 NAB AFL Under 18 championships Title

Vic Metro has taken out the 2008 NAB AFL Under 18 Championships after a comfortable 29 point victory over reigning title holders Western Australia, at Telstra Dome today.

The Victorian’s remained unbeaten in their five matches to clinch the title; their sixth in the past eight years. 

Key forward Jack Watts was named the Larke medallist, as best and fairest division one player, after an outstanding carnival for Vic Metro that saw him boot 15 goals including the match winner on the siren against Vic Country in the opening round at the MCG.

In other results today, South Australia and Vic Country were both big winners of their matches.
